Obituary of John Tomislav Pavlovic

John “JP” Pavlovic, beloved husband of Manuela Pavlovic (nee Dutra), of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at the age of 72 years.

JP was born in Olds, AB, on February 15, 1951, and raised in Calgary, AB.

JP received his welding certification in Kelowna and his heavy-duty mechanic certification through SAIT, which led to a 30+ career working at R. Angus and Finning.

JP had many hobbies, including but not limited to tinkering on vehicles, working on his fish tank, playing with and spoiling his pets, and reading. He also enjoyed his countless visits to Vancouver to visit family and multiple trips to Cuba.

He will be most remembered for his humour and personality. He was most comfortable in a crowd of strangers, as he always had a funny joke or story to tell.

Besides his loving wife Manuela, whom he married in 1987, JP is survived by his two sons, Alex (Alyssa) and Stefan (Austin); his grandchildren, Maya and Kieran; his four-legged companions, Zora and Mala; as well as numerous extended family and friends. JP was predeceased by his parents, Julianna and Vojislav Pavlovic; and his pets, Kito, Ursa, Matza, Ivo, Zena, and Chloe.
