Obituary of Christopher Henry Reynolds

REYNOLDS, Christopher Henry

February 26, 1957 – December 7, 2023

Christopher Reynolds, of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at the age of 66 years.

Christopher graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He worked for 23 years in the middle east and was a big part of the most iconic projects from Burj Al Arab, Palm Project, Doha Airport and more.  He was a member of the Mighty Camel hockey team of which he was a co-founder in Dubai, UAE, and he enjoyed organizing hockey tournaments.

Christopher accomplished much through his life and was particularly proud of his three children.

Christopher’s most memorable vacation was when he visited Baler, Philippines in 2012. He will be most remembered for his love of ice hockey, history, engineering, and travelling.

Christopher is survived by his two daughters Hannah Mary and Teresa Louise of Calgary, AB; son Ben of Calgary, AB; his mother Philomena Jane of Calgary, AB; and the mother of his daughters, Portia of Calgary, AB.

Christopher is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Rebecca of Mill Bay, BC, and Tom and Natasha of Calgary, AB; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Christopher was predeceased by his father, Walter Henry.

 Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. James Catholic Church (5504 – 20th Street S.W., Calgary, AB) on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mr. Reynold's service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed with Christopher’s family here.
