Obituary of Karamjeet Singh Kang

June 9, 1953 – Punjab, India

December 11, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta

Karamjeet Singh Kang beloved husband of  Pinky Kang of Canmore, AB, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023 at the age of 70 years.

Karamjeet was born in Punjab, India, and moved to Canada in 2010. He worked with the State Bank of India for 33 years in various places across India. In Canada, he worked with Edward Jones, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, and most recently H&R Block as a tax professional.

Karamjeet was the beloved husband of Pinky nee Bakunth, and the proud father of Nirmolak, Simrat, and Jasmine. He was also the adoring grandfather of Kara and the loving owner of cats Saffron and Ginger.

Karamjeet was an avid reader, cricket fan, and traveler. He was passionate about living life based on the principles of Sikhi and was known for his loving, calming presence in our lives and passion for learning.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Calgary Crematorium, 3219 – 4th Street NW, Calgary, AB, within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to a charity of your choice.

Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mr Kang’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed with Karamjeet’s family here.
