It is with deep sadness, we announce the passing of our mother, Louise L'Amarca (nee Carls), of Calgary, AB, she passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family and caregivers on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at the age of 87 years.

She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law John and Inza Carls, brothers-in-law, Mike L’Amarca, Alfredo Deblasio, and Pat Mautone; and sister-in-law Ann Horvath. Louise was predeceased by her husband Francesco and her grandson Frank L’Amarca.

Louise’s passion was knitting, crocheting, and travelling to Las Vegas with Frank. Vegas became a favourite destination of hers. They both really enjoyed their annual trips to Nevada.  She was also a pet lover, she always cared for our multitude of dogs over the years and her queen “Miss Kitty” who spent the last sixteen years by her side.

Our thanks to the nurses and caregivers at Fish Creek Manor Village; and the compassionate care of the Ohana ladies over mom’s last days with us.
