I was deeply saddened to learn of Shelley's passing. Her kindness and warm welcome meant a lot to me and many others, particularly to new students struggling with their English. Shelley's generosity extended beyond her professional duties; she kept my LINC level 8 diploma from Maple Leaf Academy for a month after I graduated, and she even allowed me to take a cherished photo of her carrying my newborn. Her absence at the front desk will be keenly felt. My heartfelt condolences go out to her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

Shelley and I worked together at The Career College for 13 years. She and I were also very good friends outside of the school. She was an exceptional teacher and I had always confided in her for help with our students. I am so very sorry that Shelley and I lost touch after I had retired from The Career College back in 2001. Her passing was way too soon and she will be deeply missed by family and friends. Please rest in Peace dear friend.

My deepest sincere condolences to Shelley’s family and particularly to her children Dave and Shaina. We heard a lot about you!

Shelley and I worked side by side at Maple Leaf Academy for about 16 years. I couldn’t stop being amazed and appreciative of her ability to stay calm in any situation (unlike myself). I liked her sense of humour too. She had a talent to see something interesting in every person.

As a registrar, she knew every student and his/her situation like no one else. Whenever one asked her about any of them, an answer was there right away. She was honest, reliable, and considerate.

And she was such a hard worker, often combining two jobs! But no matter what, she would appear at the academy early in the morning. Everyone appreciated her including students.

Shelley died too early. She should have lived to enjoy her life. So sad!!!

I am so sorry to hear of Shelley's passing. We worked together at Maple Leaf Academy for many years. I always appreciated her dependability, her congenieality and her ability to work with the diverse cultures of those we served. My sincere sympathy to her family.
