Obituary of Frank Lorencz

May 21, 1930 – Southey, Saskatchewan

December 20, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta

Frank Lorencz passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at the age of 93 years.

Frank was born in Southey, SK and moved to Shaughnessy, AB and then Calgary, AB. He proudly owned his own truck and was employed with Standard General for 30 years and SunRipe for eight years. Frank was passionate about camping, yard work and his dog Fluffy. He was a member of the Shaughnessy Junior Cadillacs Hockey Team of the 1940's and the Carstairs Colts hockey team who won the Championship in 1969. He and his wife Marion enjoyed memorable vacations to Mexico.

Frank is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Marion Lorencz; son, James (Lanny); daughter Connie; grandchildren, Carissa, John, James, and Justin; great-grandchildren, Angelina, Issac, and Sylas; his sisters, Isabel and Velma. He was predeceased by his son Michael Charles Lorencz, parents, Frank Lorencz Sr., and Barbara Lorencz (nee Dimen); and his dog Fluffy.

A Celebration of Frank’s Life will be held in May 2024. Frank will be most remembered for his manicured lawn.
