Bernd Halwass, beloved husband of Monika Halwass (nee Matzigkeit), of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023.

Bernd was born in Berlin, Germany on January 15, 1944. He immigrated to Canada in 1967, settling in Edmonton initially. Bernd married Monika in 1968.

Besides his loving wife, Bernd is survived by his daughter Martina (Sean); son Charles (Shauna); granddaughters Stefanie (Everitt) and Tiegan.
