Obituary of MANY HEADS

(Tsuwaakii-Pretty Girl) May 9, 1950 – Siksika, Alberta May 18, 2018 –Strathmore, Alberta It is with deep sadness the Many Heads family announces the passing of Delores “Del” Many Heads (Tsuwaakii – Pretty Girl) on Friday, May 18, 2018, at the Strathmore Hospital. Del was born on May 9, 1950 at the Blackfoot Hospital, Siksika Nation. She was a sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, great-great aunt, niece, cousin and friend to many. Del was a “Nanny” to the children from the Many Heads, Running Rabbit, Three Suns and Low Horn families and to numerous friends. In Del’s younger years she attended Namaka and Carseland Schools. In later years Del attended Marvel Beauty College. She had various jobs in Alberta and British Columbia. Throughout her life she was a regular visitor to her family and friends. Del loved and cherished her family. Del was lovingly called a “gypsy” by her family. Del is survived by her siblings, Rachel Casper, Harvey, Clifford (Janis), Jacob, Douglas (Rebecca), Gordon, Davis (Tanya), Faye Wolf Child and her adopted sister, Maria Stimson; Uncles, Matthew (Carol) and Floyd Royal; Aunties, Cecilia Many Heads, Ramona Low Horn, Josie (Allan) Running Rabbit, Elizabeth (Norman) Running Rabbit, and Muriel Kirby. Del was predeceased by her parents, Douglas Sr. (1979) and Annie (2000) Many Heads; paternal grandparents, William and Nancy Many Heads; maternal grandparents, Joe and Martha Royal and great-grandfather, Boy Chief, brothers, Johnny Young and Andrew Many Heads; Uncles, Jasper Sr., Levi Sr., Roy, Alfred, Richard and Dan Kirby; Aunties, Maggie Royal and Rosie Royal as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Wake Service will be at Cecilia Many Heads & Jackie Weasel Fat’s residence in North Camp Community (House # NCR195), Siksika Nation on Thursday, May 24, 2018, at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints ) on Friday, May 25, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Eagle’s Nest Cemetery (Siksika Nation, AB) with a feast to follow at the Gordon Yellow Fly Memorial Arbour.
