Jackie Anne Parsons of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023 at the age of 67 years.

Jackie was born in Calgary, AB on September 12, 1956. She worked as a barber for many years, first at Chinook Barbers then The Den. She also spent many years volunteering with the Kidney Foundation of Canada, receiving their Volunteer of the Year award in 2007. Jackie married her husband Alex on November 12, 1977 after meeting at the Stampede Corral where they worked and watched the Calgary Centennials together. She will be most remembered for her loving and generous soul, always happy to help others.

Jackie is survived by her daughter Tina (Mathew) of Waterloo, ON, son Jeffrey (Olivia) of Calgary, AB; grandchildren, Michael, Thomas, and Evelyn; sisters, Myrna (Ron), Lynda (Tony), and Brenda (Francis); many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Jackie was predeceased by her husband Alex, parents, Glenn, and Ruth; sister Dona; and her beloved dog and best friend, Pepper.

Jackie’s family will be holding a Celebration of Life in the Spring, with details to follow.
