Obituary of Lisa Robyn Schoenberger

April 8, 1981 - January 2, 2024

Lisa Schoenberger of Calgary, Alberta, beloved wife of Ryan Schoenberger, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at the age of 42, due to complications from breast cancer.

Lisa was born in Montreal, Quebec on April 8, 1981 and moved to Calgary in 1996. She graduated from the University of Calgary with a BSc in Primatology and Psychology. Lisa and Ryan married in 2010 after being together since high school. She was employed by CPKC for the last 12 years and worked in various departments such as Human Resources and Safety.

In her spare time, Lisa enjoyed dragon boating, hiking, camping, gardening, and going for walks or coffee with friends. Lisa formed exceptional long-term bonds with many friends who were important to her. Lisa also enjoyed her annual vacations in the Okanagan and her 2017 trip to Germany.

Besides her loving husband, Lisa is survived by her parents Fred and Karin Fetterley, her sister Erin White (Matt), her nephew Noah, and her nieces Emily and Julianne. She is also survived by her parents-in-law Walter and Leanna Schoenberger, her sister-in-law Kara Maron (Scott), and her cat Sweet Pea.

Lisa will be most remembered for her passion, dedication, and achievements in work, dragon boating, and the outdoors. She had a great sense of humour, spoke her mind, and enjoyed life.
