Obituary of Jean Elizabeth KOEBEL
December 2, 1941 – Souris, Prince Edward Island
May 14, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta
Jean Elizabeth Koebel, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 14, 2018 at the age of 76.
Jean was a gentle, kind, generous woman with a funny sense of humour who devoted her life to her family. Jean completed her certificates in Accounting and Travel Services. She met many great long lasting friends during her careers at BMO, Revenue Canada and AMA Travel (Willowpark branch) where she worked for twenty plus years before retiring. Jean was an avid traveler and was fortunate enough to travel and experience the world.
She leaves behind her children, Jerome Koebel (Sophia), Alexis Blackburn (David) and Natalie Copeland (Jeremy)and her grandchildren, Morgan, Allydia, Jordan, Garrett, Emma and Sebastian. She is also survived by her brothers, Lorne (Kay) Mooney of Charlottetown, P.E.I. and Genny Ryder, Prince George of B.C., brother-in-law Joe MacIsaac of Bear River, PEI, sister-in-law, Marilyn Sawyer of Lethbridge, AB, as well as numerous family, friends and loved ones.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of twenty nine years, Dennis in 2001. Jean was predeceased by her parents, Alex and Mary (Whalen) Mooney, brother Terry Mooney and sister Kay MacIsaac.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY () on Friday, May 18, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gerard’s Catholic Church () on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow at the church. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
