Britnee Beitel of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at the age of 37 years.

Britnee was born in Calgary, AB on December 22, 1986. She graduated from Holy Trinity Academy with honors then went on to study at the University of Calgary earning a degree in Geology. Once she completed her degree, she was employed with several drilling companies as an independent contractor and was directly employed with Conoco Phillips.

Britnee accomplished much through her life and was particularly proud of her degree in Geology and the birth of her niece Everly. She was a special aunt and Everly will miss her dearly. In her younger years Britnee was involved in dance and precision skating. Britnee’s most memorable vacation was when she traveled to Europe and Australia

Britnee is survived by her parents, Rod Beitel and Jeannie Beitel; two sisters, Courtney (Garry Morland) Beitel of Prince George, BC, and Cassandra Beitel of Calgary, AB; and niece Everly Dowling. She is also survived by her grandparents, Marv Beitel and Julie Beitel of Medicine Hat, AB; uncle Rick Derbyshire, aunt Maria Derbyshire, best friend Camilla Millar, who was always there for her, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Britnee’s Life will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Friday, January 12, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Britnee’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed with Britnee’s family here.
