Obituary of Peggy Anne Thompson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Peggy Ann Thompson (nee Larson) on Saturday, January 6, 2024, after a year-long, hard-fought battle with cancer.

Peggy was born in Edmonton, AB on September 9, 1956. She grew up in Red Deer and relocated to Calgary (with a brief stint in Ottawa) in 1975. On March 11, 1978, Peggy married her soulmate, Jeff Thompson, after helping a mutual friend move.

Peggy was an avid traveller and a Disney aficionado. Her love of everything Disney translated to many cruises across the world with her family and friends. Many memories were cultivated with the people she loved most.

Peggy is lovingly remembered by her husband Jeff, son Bruce (Courtney), daughter Sara (Christopher), sister Barb (Darrell), and her grandkids, Violet, Gray, and Adalynn. She was predeceased by her father Clarence in 1975, sister Donna in 2010, and mother Nell in 2015.
