Obituary of Michelle Lynn Schulte

Michelle Schulte (nee Wilson), beloved wife of Ken Schulte, of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, January 8, 2024, at the age of 55 years.
Michelle was born at the Grace Hospital in Calgary, AB, on June 11, 1968, and spent her childhood swimming with her sisters, taking dance class with her friends, and participating in her local Brownies and Girl Guides groups.
Michelle met Ken while attending high school and the lovestruck couple married shortly after in 1988. Michelle then began a career in nursing before starting her beloved family.
For the last sixteen years, Michelle was a proud foster parent, providing a safe and loving home to dozens of children. She accomplished much through her life, but was particularly proud of her kids, both big and small.
Besides her loving husband, Michelle is survived by her four children and three sons-in-law, Kyle (Russ), Jenna (Scott), Madison (Brad), and Destiney of Calgary, AB; and was Gma or Gigi to Emma, Jett, Penelope, and Annabelle, with another grandbaby on the way. Michelle is also survived by her father Darrell; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Sheri and Lisa (Shane); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Michelle was predeceased by her mother Dianna and granddaughter Suzie.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre for their compassion, in particular Dr. Alimohamed, Rachel, Steph, Maria, and Larry.

A Celebration of Michelle’s Life will be held at The Opera Room at Teatro (200 - 8th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB, T2G 0K7) on Friday, January 19, 2024, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served, and parking is available at the Telus Convention Centre or the Arts Commons Parkade.
