Obituary of Anneliese Margarite Soustar

We are sad to announce the passing of our grandmother (Oma) and mother, Anneliese Soustar (nee Henkelmann). She passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at the Rockyview General Hospital, at the age of 92 years.

Anneliese was born in Nurnberg, Germany on April 8, 1931, to Max and Kathe Henkelmann. She had one brother Heinz. Anneliese married Miroslov (Mike) Soustar in 1951 and they had a happy 72 years together.

Besides her loving husband Mike, Anneliese is survived by her daughters, Karin, and Wendy; grandchildren, Melissa, Sarah, Kaitlin (Maurice), and Logan; great-grandchildren, Riliegh, Tristan, and Isabella; and son-in-law Ken. She was a grandmother but such a kid at heart and will be missed by all.
