Condolences
I am a cousin of Mavis" and spent two weeks with her in the 1980's while I was teaching at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. She had such a jolly laugh. We also had several cousin reunions that she would attend. Her parents spent several Christmas' with use when they wintered in CA so we kept up to date through them. I had heard that Mavis had fallen and was in a care facility. She was a special cousin!!
A special cousin from a special family. Although we were always the family that lived the farthest away, I have many happy memories of time spent with the other Frickelton family. Perhaps one of my treasured thoughts is one of my first ones as I was a very young little girl. Our two families met half way between Jasper and Calgary ( I think it was Bow Lake) for a weekend camping adventure. We pitched our tents, slept on spruce bough mattresses and watched the snow avalanches come down the mountains on the opposite side of the lake. As an adult., Hans and I and our family had many happy times and picnics as we all lived in Calgary.
So sorry to hear of your mom’s passing she will always hold a special place in our hearts. As one of Dads’s favorite cousins we were lucky to have you all in our lives. We fondly remember by all our visits to Calgary and your visits to the farm (even if you did have to bring your own water). I especially remember being there one year at Stampede time and your mom and dad taking us to some hill to watch the fireworks.
With love.

Dear Pullman family, your mom was always a constant in my life, one of my earliest memories was visiting your house and playing with Lorri's toys. I remember a high chair your dad made that flipped into a little kids sized table! I remember Lorri toddling around with curls, and David being a little baby! Your mom always made me feel welcome and it was so nice to have people in my life who stayed in one place, with my parents moving us around so much. all of my children also have fond memories of her. Devon remembers her knit clown dolls in particular. Now Devon is the knitter in our family! She taught me to knit and crochet, figuring out how to teach me left handed! I was honoured to have such a special aunt in my life. Janet
