Obituary of Brenda Sinco Pantilag

April 6, 1960 – Dumaguete City, Philippines

January 23, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

Brenda Pantilag, beloved wife of Francisco, of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at the age of 63 years.

Brenda was born in Dumaguete City, Philippines on April 6, 1960. She grew up in Dumaguete with her parents and siblings before immigrating to Canada in 2000 with her husband and daughters. She met the love of her life, Fransico Pantilag, at Silliman University where they were both studying Engineering in 1977. They later got married in 1984.

Brenda is survived by her husband Francisco, her children, Fritzee and Frances (Julian); her grandchildren, Lucas and Mason; their dog Carter, her brother Johnson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Pedro and Primitiva; and her sister-in-law Olivia.

Brenda enjoyed playing golf with her family and friends and she even managed to get a hole-in-one twice. Brenda also enjoyed traveling and she especially loved her time in Mexico and Japan. 

To celebrate Brenda’s life, please wear golf outfits. If you don’t have any golf outfits, any clothing with spring colours will do.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Deerfoot South, 12281 – 40th Street SE, Calgary, AB) on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.

Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mrs. Pantilag’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted.
