Obituary of Michael Kerry Wood

July 17, 1974 – Rosetown, Saskatchewan

January 15, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with great sadness, that the family of Michael Kerry Wood announces his passing in Calgary, AB, on Monday, January 15, 2024, at the age of 49 years.

Michael Kerry lived most of his life in Calgary, AB. As a young man, Michael Kerry loved to ride his BMX bike and skateboard. He developed amazing skateboard skills and could often be found displaying those skills at the local skateboard parks in Calgary.  

The most important people in Michael Kerry’s life were his mother, Holly, and his daughter, Nova.

Michael Kerry’s life was filled with many challenges. He struggled with addiction and homelessness for the last years of his life. He is free of the demons that he fought and safe in the arms of his loved ones who have gone before him. May our creator forever hold him in peace.

Michael Kerry is survived by his daughter, Nova, of Calgary, AB, grandfather, Glen Loewen, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He is predeceased by his mother, Holly Wood, father, Craig Loewen, and grandparents, Allan and Anne Wood, and Muriel Tombling.

Michael Kerry will be interred in the Rosetown Cemetery, SK, beside his mother, in July 2024.
