In loving memory of Son Trieu An, a devoted husband to Linh, who peacefully passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at the age of 64 years.

Son was born in Hanoi, Vietnam, on March 20, 1959. His life's journey led him to Calgary, AB, in 1991, following his immigration to Canada in 1980.

In 2012, Son embraced the joy of matrimony, marrying My Linh Yen. Together, they achieved a proud milestone by opening Happy Nails and Spa in 2014, a testament to their shared dreams and dedication.

A compassionate soul, Son devoted his time to volunteering at Chùa Phổ Đức, assisting the Monks, and extending his generosity to family members dealing with car and home matters. His acts of kindness and community spirit touched the lives of many. Throughout his life, Son accomplished much, with a particular source of pride being the establishment of Happy Nails and Spa. His passion for cars, notably his cherished 1987 Mk3 Supra, reflected his love for mechanical artistry. He also enjoyed the simple pleasures of playing with new tools, often acquired during sales. His affection for dogs was evident, as he would always share snacks with his four-legged companions. One of Son’s most cherished memories was the unforgettable vacations he shared with Linh, exploring the cultural wonders of Vietnam, Hong Kong, China, Thailand, and the United States.

In addition to his loving wife, Son leaves behind a legacy through his two sons, Eric An and Collin An. He is also survived by his siblings Thanh An, Ninh An, Binh An, Hai An, Tu Mai An, and James An.

Son’s departure leaves a void, but his spirit lives on in the hearts of those he touched. May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love and memories he created throughout his remarkable journey.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street N, Calgary, AB T2E 2V6) on Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., as well as on Sunday, March 3, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street N, Calgary, AB T2E 2V6) on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. We will be visiting Son’s home for the last time, then visiting the business both Son and Linh opened, and then returning to McInnis & Holloway for the cremation service.
