Condolences
Gordon and Wendy Lackey. So sad to hear of the passing of Gordon McArther. Our deepest condolence to Barb and family. As a fellow Realtor, I have the deepest respect for Gord’s professionalism and dedication to his customers and the Real Estate industry. Gord and Barb were mentors and had a strong influence in the beginning of my Real Estate career. For that we are truly grateful. Fond memory of winning a trip along with them through United Trust, to the Bahamas in 1976!
We are so sad with Gord’s passing…our heartfelt condolences to Barb and family! We will miss his reassuring, thoughtful and kind way and especially his wonderful smile.

I wanted to thank the McArthur Family for the amount of time he spent looking after our family. He played a large role in ensuring we were looked after when we needed a new home. He was very generous with his time and his advice was very welcome. We are saddened to hear of your loss.
I am very sad to hear of Captain McArthur's passing. He was my First Captain at 17 Station back in March of 2001. I remember that he treated me well and got me off to a great start with CFD. My Condolences go out to his family.

Barbie, I am so saddened to hear of your Gords passing. While our paths have not crossed for many years, I hold the wonderful childhood memories of Cambrian Heights close to my heart. I know the love of your family will help you through this very sad time.

I was very saddened to hear of Gord’s passing. I was his senior man for time at 17 station and we had many heartfelt
discussions on life, business and politics. He was a mentor to me as I studied for my company officers exam. A gentleman
thru and thru. Sincere condolences to his family

We were shocked and sadden when we heard the news of Gordons passing .I have a lot of great memories of the times we had together on and off the job. Gordon was a mentor to me when I started with the CFD . He taught me many things that I carried thew out my career and my personal life. Without Gordon's insistence I would have never brought our first home. It was a new build and had no light fixtures in it .We viewed it at night by the flame of a cigarette lighter. Gordon wrote up the purchase agreement in his car and we had our first home. When ever we saw him he always made me laugh. We will miss him dearly. He was one of the good ones! Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers go out to Barb, Paige, Michele, John and all of the family
Ted Ronalda and all the Kelter Family.
We are saddened to hear of Gord’s passing. We will forever hold memories of seeing, playing, sharing stories and laughing with Gord at Silver Springs and in the community. Gord was our family’s realtor and supported our political and economic decisions through sharing of his experiences and contacts that brought new friendships and lots of wonderful memories. Gordon was extremely generous and an absolute pleasure to be with everytime we would see each other at the club or in the community. We miss him and we are here for you Barb, Paige and family as we know he would want us all to enjoy each others company every time we see each other. Love - Sandy, Ersilia, John and the Volponi family.
Gord was a real gentleman, I will miss his humour, positive disposition and friendship. Please accept our condolences, Ted and Nancy Hanbury
I am very sorry to hear of Gord’s passing. My husband and I have been members of Silver Springs Golf Club and so knew Gord there. He was also our realtor, selling one of our houses and helping us buy our most recent home in Chateau on the Green, which we love. I remember Scott and I going through many open houses over the years to peek at what was out there and to say “hi” to Gord. Gord seemed a bit of a gentle giant to me (I’m 5’2”), a quiet, kind man. I will miss seeing him.
So sorry for the loss of Gord. Sending our condolences to Barb and Family. It was so nice having Gord as our neighbor. Always enjoyed chatting to him and Barb when we had a chance. Will always remember Gord sitting on a lawn chair out in his driveway just enjoying his time there. He always made the effort to chat when we were going out for a walk with the dogs. We will miss him.
Thinking of you all in your time of sorrow.
