Obituary of David Michael Lambert

David Lambert, lovingly known as ‘Dave’ by his family and friends, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at the age of 65 years.

Born on July 30, 1958, in Calgary, Dave attended William Aberhart High School before graduating and starting his career. He worked for Scandia Electric, Melin Electric and eventually co-owned his own company, Bowview Electric, with his business partner, Dennis Abel. He was also a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

In his free time, Dave enjoyed boating, camping, hiking, and his favourite pastime, waterskiing. He was passionate about the sport and spent as much time as he could on the lake with his sister Caroline and others who joined in. He also loved going for walks in the forest and spending time with his friends.

But Dave's proudest moment was the birth of his son, Robert. He loved being a father and was always there to support and guide his son.

One of Dave's most memorable vacations was when his family went to Slocan Lake in 1969 where he had his first taste of ‘lake life’ and waterskiing. From then on, he couldn't get enough of the sport, and it became a lifelong passion for him.

Dave is survived by his beloved son Robert. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Joan; and his sister Valerie. He will be greatly missed by his brother Brian, sisters, Caroline, Marilyn, Vanessa, and Julie; nieces, nephews, the vast network of clients who relied on his electrical expertise for their business, and all his friends.

Dave will be most remembered for his kind nature, infectious smile, and silly sense of humour. He was always there for those in need and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Rest in peace, Dave.
