Obituary of Lynn Goode

1947 - 2024

Marjorie “Lynn” Goode (nee Drummond) of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at the age of 76 years.

Lynn was born in Vulcan, AB in 1947. She attended grades 1 and 2 at the prairie school, in Reid Hill, east of Vulcan, completing the remainder of her education to grade 12 in Vulcan.

Lynn’s banking career spanned 28 years at various ATB branches in Calgary. She retired in 1997 to go farming in the Vulcan area with her partner Bob Bruce who predeceased her in 2010. Lynn and Bob had many adventures together which included summer months at their home on Sullivan Bay, BC, and winter months at their home in Mesa, AZ. Lynn would often refer to her years with Bob as the best in her life. Lynn took up watercolor painting during her retirement and received ribbons to reward her talent.

Lynn is survived by her sister Janet Drummond (partner Keith Parry) and she was predeceased by her parents, Burnell and Doreen Drummond.

At Lynn’s request, there will be no funeral and a Celebration of Lynn’s Life will be held at a later date. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to a charity of your choice.
