Obituary of Evelyn Marie Macdonald

July 25, 1922 - Hamiota, Manitoba

February 2, 2024 - Calgary, Alberta

At 101 years old, Lynne would say she lived a full and wonderful life. It was filled with travel, sports (both participating and watching), great friends, and a family she treasured.  Lynne was a trailblazer for women in the Calgary oil and gas industry, becoming the Assistant Treasurer of Norcen Energy.

She was predeceased by her husband, William Macdonald (Potsie), and her son-in-law, Cameron Macdonald. She is survived by her children, Duncan Macdonald (June), Bruce Macdonald (Carol), her daughter Heather Macdonald, as well as her much-loved grandchildren, Cory (Peter), Lisa (Robert), Stu (Tanis), Rob (Kelly), Fraser (Hayley), Kate (Tyler), Colleen (Tim), Mike (Lindsay), and her twelve great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her 100-year-old, almost twin sister, Joyce DeKoch of San Antonio, Texas.

Thank you to the kind staff at Wentworth Manor.

There will be a Celebration of Lynne’s Life in the spring.
