Obituary of Elizabeth Grace Hamilton
December 3, 1932 – Innisfail, Alberta
February 2, 2024– Calgary, Alberta
Elizabeth “Betty” Hamilton, beloved wife of the late John Hamilton, peacefully passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024, at the age of 91 years. She was born on December 3, 1932, in Innisfail, AB, and resided in Calgary, AB, at the time of her passing.
During Betty’s lifetime, she was a devoted and loving homemaker, and was an active member of several organizations, such as the Girl Guides of Canada, Canadian Cancer Society, Alberta Children’s Hospital, and the Lakeview United Church, where she was a chartered member. She was also known for volunteering her time and skills to help those in need.
Betty had a passion for baking, crocheting, sewing, bowling, card games, and gardening. Betty will be most remembered for her kind heart, her love for her family, and her unwavering resilience.
She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Heather Dyck (Barry), two sons, Brian Hamilton (Francine) and Robert Hamilton (Denise); seven grandchildren, David Hamilton (Jaime), Keith Hamilton, Jeremy Hamilton, Shannon Kulasekere (Troy), Jennifer Hamilton, Meagan Dyck, and Ryan Dyck; and her two great-grandchildren, Roman Hamilton and Willa Hamilton.
Betty was predeceased by her parents, Mary Ann Stanton (Hunt) and William Stanton, her brother, William Stanton Jr., and her sister, Barbara Mary Hansen.

A Funeral Service will be held to celebrate Betty’s life at Lakeview United Church (3023 - 63 Avenue SW, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow at the church.
