Obituary of June Marian Tipping

June Tipping, beloved wife of Edward Tipping of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024 at the age of 86 years.

June was born in Winnipeg, MB on June 1, 1937. She met Ed during high school, and they were married on August 23, 1958. June graduated from Lord Selkirk School and obtained a diploma to become a lab technician, before becoming a full-time mom to her three children.

June accomplished much throughout her life and was particularly proud of her three children, six grandsons and her great-granddaughter. Family was always number one for her. June loved curling, golfing, and playing the piano. She loved being at their cabin at Falcon Lake and being with family. Her most memorable vacation was when she and her family went to Hawaii for Christmas and New Year’s.

Besides her loving husband Edward, June is survived by her three children, Jeff (Rhonda), Carolyn (Gregg) and Sharon (Rob); six grandchildren, Keven, Daniel (Juliet), Michael (Opal), Keenan, Corbin, and Ryan (Kassidy); and great-granddaughter Harlow.

June is also survived by her brother-in-law Russell Kopansky, nieces, Shannon (Chris, Nicholas, Nathan) and Lori (CJ, Molly, Kasey); nephew Scott (Ali, Sadie, Max), and other close cousins and friends. We will all miss her so much.

June was predeceased by her parents, Helen and John Fedirchyk, and her sister Michele, with whom she shared an extraordinary bond.
