Obituary of Robert Arthur Wall

July 27, 1941 – Montreal, Quebec

February 4, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

Robert Arthur Wall of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at the age of 82 years.

Robert, fondly known as Bob, was born to Arthur and Dorothy Wall on July 27, 1941, in Montreal, QC. Bob was educated at Riverside School, Lorne School, and Montreal High. After graduating, Bob embarked on a fulfilling managerial career in the transportation industry, which brought him out West. He was a gifted athlete and excelled at football, hockey, squash, golf, and hiking in and around Banff, with a special fondness for Johnston Canyon, AB.

Bob enjoyed cooking, especially his famous meat sauce and barbequing. After he was done grilling, he would often say “This will be the best steak (burger, chicken, salmon, etc.), that you’ve EVER tasted”. In his later years, Bob enjoyed wintering in Florida, where he could be found on the golf course, playing cards, especially crib, or enjoying an ‘Extravaganza’ meal with friends.

Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife Annette, daughter Leslie Wall (Sean Morris), daughter Allyson Ciuca (Paul Martens), son Chris Ciuca (Eveline Ciuca), grandchildren, Taya van der Groef, Brooklyn Wall-Morris, Grace Martens and Ben Martens; sister Marilyn Baikie, and nephews, Mark Leduc (Karen) and Scott Leduc, as well as extended family and friends.

Rest in peace Bob, we love you.
