Obituary of Rene Don Calf Child

May 23, 1951 – Siksika, Alberta

February 2, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

Rene “Donnie” Calf Child was called home by our Creator on Friday, February 2, 2024, at the age of 72 years.

Don is survived by his life partner Frances Ear, his son Eugene Beaver, and stepdaughters Lenora Beaver, Melissa Hunter, and Tanya (Howard) Lefthand; special grandsons Malek Lefthand and Sunshine Beaver; special granddaughters Delilah Lefthand,  Myha Beaver, and Lola Beaver; and grandchildren Taden Poucette, Jacee Lefthand, Marcus Lefthand, Drae Hunter, Tason Lefthand, Jason Chiniquay, Kwin Hunter, and Trishella Poucette; siblings, Kevin Calf Child, Clifford Calf Child, Corrine Calf Child; sisters-in-law, Josephine Simeon, Margerie (Frank) Chiniquay, and Deborah (Henry) Baptiste. We apologize if we have missed anyone.

Don was predeceased by his parents Earl and Florence Calf Child, his daughter Judy Roxanne, and his in-laws, Moses and Christina Ear.

Wake Services will be held at the residence of Lenora Beaver (Morley, AB) on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 3:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Morley United Church (Morley, AB) on Monday, February 12, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Bearspaw Cemetery (Morley, AB).
