Obituary of Kehar Singh Kang

April 4, 1942 – Boormajra, India

February 6, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

Kehar Singh Kang, cherished husband of Surinder Kaur, of Calgary, AB, passed away serenely on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at the age of 81 years old.

Born into a wonderful family as the youngest of ten siblings, Kehar was fortunate to be raised in an environment that highly valued education. This led him to pursue a college education in engineering. After completing his education, he embarked on a fulfilling career as a Civil Engineer in the Town and Country Planning Department of Himachal, India, where he worked on numerous projects. Kehar took great pride in his work, often recounting stories of challenging projects highlighting his perseverance and resilience.

More than his professional achievements, Kehar was a kind-hearted and gentle soul who consistently dedicated himself to acts of kindness. His life was a testament to the essence of humanity, touching numerous lives and leaving a profound impact on those around him. After immigrating to Canada nearly three decades ago, he initially settled in Vancouver, BC, before moving to Calgary, AB, in 2007. Kehar's legacy lives on through his children, grandchildren, and a wide circle of family and friends who remember him fondly.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Calgary Crematorium, 3219 – 4th Street NW, Calgary, AB, within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 1:00 p.m.
