Obituary of Anne Dickson

March 15, 1930 – Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan

February 8, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

Anne Dickson, beloved wife of the late Art Dickson, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at the age of 93 years. She was born in Moose Jaw, SK, on March 15, 1930, and at the time of her death, she resided in Calgary, AB.

Anne finished high school and went on to work for SaskTel and Sears. Anne enjoyed creating with her hands by making clothes, hats, crocheting, and knitting. She liked to travel and one of her most memorable vacations was to England and Scotland with her husband Art, sons Jay and Brent, and daughter-in-law Helen.

Anne is survived by her son Jay, daughter-in-law Helen McClurg, three grandchildren Derek Wasylenko (Frances), Nicole Kulikoski (Mike), and Brandin Mills (Laci); as well as three great-grandchildren Jaxson, Benji, and Griffen. She was predeceased by her husband Art, two children Rennie and Brent; her mother Jessie Smith, father JD Smith, and brother Barry.

A Memorial Service will be held in Anne's honor at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street N, Calgary, AB T2E 2V6) on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.

The family would like to thank the staff and residents of The Manor Village Huntington Hills for their support and care.

Anne will be most remembered for her kind and giving nature, her love for her family, and her passion for creating beautiful things with her hands.
