Obituary of David William Heidemann

January 3, 1970 – Calgary, Alberta

February 12, 1954 – Calgary, Alberta

David Heidemann, born in Calgary, AB, passed away from cancer on Monday, February 12, 2024, at the age of 54.

He graduated from the University of Calgary with a degree in Political Science. Dave loved the mountains and spent a few years in Banff before studying to become a Certified Financial Planner.

Dave possessed a keen intellect and a unique sense of humour. He had a passion to travel to new places and discover new things. Most of all he loved to share his enthusiasm for the world with those around him. He always strove to include others and delighted in making new friends. Many people had their first introduction to some beautiful place, wondrous idea, new experience, or terrible pun thanks to Dave.

Dave was a loving and supportive son and brother and was always there for his family and friends when they needed him.

David is survived by his mother Linda Heidemann, his brother Doug Heidemann, his partner for some of the best years of his life, Sandy Wong, and many dear friends.

A Celebration of David's Life will be held at The Inn on Officers Garden (150 Dieppe Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at 1:30 p.m.

David was predeceased by his father Robert A. Heidemann.
