September 29, 1942 – Montreal, Quebec

February 13, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

Lynne Reynolds (Decaire) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, following a long battle with dementia. Lynne Isabel Reynolds was born in Montreal, QC, on September 29, 1942.

Lynne was predeceased by her parents, William and Edna Reynolds, but is survived by brothers, Greig M. Reynolds and William A. (Patti) Reynolds, niece Sarah (Marc) Reynolds, and great-nieces, Kinley and Brynn Emerson.

After graduating from Notre Dame Secretarial School (The Mother House) in Montreal, QC, in May 1960, Lynne embarked on her career journey. Initially working in Montreal until 1964, she then joined Pan-American World Airlines as a flight attendant based in New York City. Returning to Montreal in 1967, she married Bert Decaire. The couple relocated to Calgary in 1970, where Lynne found employment at Lafarge Canada until 1983. The next 25 years were spent in the oil and gas industry where Lynne was able to demonstrate her organizational skills and retire from a fulfilling career at Nexen in October of 2008.

Lynne had a passion for gardening and definitely had green thumbs. She was a generous person with a big heart and was a reliable supporter of The Mustard Seed Shelter in Calgary. Lynne was an animal lover but her adoration for dogs was central in her life, sharing her home with many furry companions over the years brought her great joy. She will be remembered for her heart, quick wit, honesty, and kindness.

The family will be holding a private service in Quebec.
