Condolences
We are so sorry to hear of Linda's passing. Words cannot convey the grief we feel for her family here in Calgary, especially Jody, and in Ontario.
Linda was loved by all who knew her - humans and fur-babies. She was quick to smile, she had an infectious laugh, and was always willing to tell a story and share her life and experiences. She always asked how we were doing - her thoughtfulness and empathy evident each time we saw her.
She was so proud of Jody. He was her everything and she treasured each and every moment they spent together.
Both our dogs, Cindy and Maddie, LOVED her! Maddie would hear the van beep as Linda locked it, and no matter where in the house Maddie was - she would come running to the back door to greet Linda. After she went to check at the front window of course. And then Maddie would slip and slide - along the floor and into the wall - just to get to the back door to greet Linda. Her tail wagging harder and harder as Linda approached the door. True love!
We know that Linda is now walking with all the pets she has looked after over the years - and those pets are crowding around her to be the first to see her. Cindy and Maddie are there with her.
Linda, you are an Angel. We will miss you.
Love Laurie, Bob, Nicole and Meghan
Linda was one of the very first people I met when I moved to McKenzie Lake. We met on the school playground while we waited for our kids at the end of the day. Linda accepted me as her friend with open arms. She introduced me to her friend circle and there we all shared adventures together. Soon after, Linda became a member of our Bunko “sisterhood”. Her laugh was infectious and she always was there to lend a hand or listen to a good story. Her son Jody was her true happiness and her shining light. Linda spoke of her son regularly and she was always so excited to see him. Her love and care for animals was her driving force to start her own successful dog walking and pet care business. Linda was truly a very kind and loving soul. Our community has lost a wonderful human. We will raise a glass and dedicate our next bunko to you my friend. Until we meet again….. ❤️
Linda was a friend to our family and our dogs for over 15 years.
She LOVED dogs and cats and all animals and the animals knew it.
Although I never met her son, Jody, it was clear that he was the "apple of her eye"...she was always so excited that he was coming to visit. I can clearly picture her warm smile and jolly laugh!
I am sure, Linda, is being greeted in heaven by her dog Maggie, our girls Elie and Abby and all the other dogs and cats that she looked after over the years that crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
She was a Pet Angel, put on this earth to look after the animals.
Linda, we will miss you dearly.
We will think of you on our park walks. I am sure you will be there in spirit.
Love Anne, Doug, Tim and Kate Stone
