Obituary of Grant Mervin Knupp

February 15, 2024 - Calgary, Alberta

 

Grant Mervin Knupp, beloved husband of Edith Knupp ‘Sweetie’, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at the age of 92 years.

 

Grant was born and raised in High River, AB, and moved to Calgary, AB, in 1947. He worked for the City of Calgary in the Light and Water Department for five years. He then moved on to Mobil Oil as the head of the computer department until he retired in 1969.

 

Grant was predeceased by four brothers, Alec Knupp, George Knupp, Jack Knupp, and Richard Knupp; five sisters, Loretta Melon, Hazel Gossett, Dorothy Banister, Jean Moncrieff, and Frances Barraclough.

 

A special thanks to the medical staff at the Rocky Ridge Retirement Home, and Dr. Simon Taylor at the Foothills Hospital.

 

A cremation has taken place at McInnis and Holoway Calgary Crematorium in Queen’s Park Cemetery.

 

An urn visitation can be arranged at a later date.

 

If friends so desire, donations can be made to a charity of their choice.
