Obituary of Caroline Slywka

Caroline Slykwa, of Calgary, AB passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at the age of 88 years.
She was born near Wishart, SK, on July 20, 1935. She then moved to Regina, SK, for work, and in 1966, she moved to Calgary, AB, with her son Lincoln.
She worked with Avco Financial for several years, then moved on to the TD Bank in Calgary, where she specialized in loans. She managed the TD Bank in Vegreville and Mayerthorpe, where she retired from in 1995.
Caroline then travelled the world, where she toured six continents. She shared her travel adventures with family and friends, and always had a story or two (or three) to tell. She had a great sense of humour. Caroline loved to be outdoors, and camping was a favorite way for her to enjoy nature.
Her passions were many, including baking and cooking, needlepoint and petti point, crochet and knitting. She also loved to sew, and she made all of her clothes.
Caroline is survived by her son, Lincoln Slywka of Calgary, AB, her sisters Helen Price of Wolseley, SK, and Joanne Slywka of Regina, SK, her brother Joseph Slywka, of Medicine Hat, AB, her sister-in-law Louise Slywka of Regina, SK, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Caroline was predeceased by her brother Orest Slywka, and her parents William and Mary Slywka.
As per Caroline’s wishes, no service will be held.
