Dolores Mary Lockie (nee Chaput), passed away peacefully on Monday, February 19, 2024.
She was born in Sault Ste. Marie, ON, and lived in Toronto, where she attended Loretto College School until she moved with her parents to Calgary in 1950. She trained as a Registered Nurse at Holy Cross Hospital, before setting off to work in Honolulu, Hawaii. She returned to Calgary a year later and met Douglas Lockie, where they married in 1961 and raised a family of four children.
Dolores will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a devoted friend. She will be missed by many.
She is survived by her son Ian (Diane), two daughters, Denise Quinn (Joseph) and Devon Lockie (Tom Hochman); and five grandchildren, Celine, Nicole and Glenn Lockie, Ruby, and Una Hochman. Dolores was predeceased by her husband Douglas (2000), her sister Maureen (2012), and her son Michael (2016).
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Canadian Martyrs Catholic Church (835 Northmount Drive N.W., Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow at the Church.
