Obituary of Travis Jordan Morrow

July 6, 1991 – Calgary, Alberta

February 24, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

Sadly, we announce the passing of Travis Jordan Morrow of Strathmore, AB, on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at the age of 32 years.

Travis was born in Calgary on July 6, 1991, with his family relocating to Okotoks shortly after in 1992. Travis went to school in Okotoks and graduated from Holy Trinity Academy in 2009. While Travis had a fondness for various sports, his heart truly belonged to BMX racing from a tender age. By 2007, he was already competing in the Canadian Western Finals, clinching the top spot. Remarkably, he became the number one rider expert in his category by the age of sixteen.

After high school, he spent a year doing landscaping and maintenance, and later transferred into doing home construction. Subsequently, he embarked on a remarkable journey in the oil and gas industry, spanning nine years. He started as a leasehand and worked his way up to the position of a derrickman. Travis  was truly a conscientious and very proud individual.  He put his heart and soul into everything he did and was never afraid to just jump right in. On his personal time, Travis enjoyed experiencing the beauty of nature, doing a lot of hiking and biking.

Travis epitomized the essence of a gentleman. His caring nature, infectious smile, sense of humour, and boundless love was unmatched. His sole desire was to see the people he cherished thrive and flourish. Overflowing with energy, Travis served as the ultimate advocate for strengthening family bonds. It was not uncommon to find him orchestrating family activities, eagerly fostering the creation of countless cherished memories together.

He will be deeply missed.

Travis is survived by his older brother, Trevor Morrow, his two nieces, Aria and Elaina Morrow; his parents Karen and Frank Morrow, grandmother Betty Markle, his four aunts, Ingrid Mooth, Kelly Konrad, Brenda Young, Wendy Conner; four uncles, Bill Konrad, John Mooth, Ted de Groot, Gary Conner; seven cousins, Careen Konrad, Ilea Konrad, Brian Mooth, Chris Mooth, Marissa Young, Chloe Young, Breanna Prest; as well as many extended family members and countless friends.
