Obituary of Melvin Clarence Sr. Onespot

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved dad, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and sibling.
Melvin is survived by his sons, Kirby, Cody, Craig, and Melvin Jr. Onespot; and his daughter Carly (Wacy). He is survived by nineteen grandchildren and one great-grandson, as well as by his siblings, Patsy (Shaun), Andy (Lorraine), Sandy (Todd), Rocky, Ricky (Vanessa), Lily (Guy), Sheryl (Rod), Chelaine, Ashley, and Jan (Weya).
Melvin was born on March 17, 1958, and he grew up on Tsuut'ina Nation. Melvin met his loving wife at the age of seventeen and had their first born at nineteen. Melvin dedicated his life to working at the Sarcee Seven Chiefs Sportsplex until he retired. Melvin passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at his residence on Tsuut'ina Nation at the age of 65 years.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Carmen of 48 years, his parents, Arthur and Lottie Onespot; his brothers, John, Ronnie, and Tim; his baby sister Rose, his grandparents, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, family and extended family members.
Wake Services will be held at the residence of the late Melvin Sr. Onespot (3802 – 146th Avenue SW, Tsuut’ina Nation, AB), on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at 1:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held at Bullhead Community Hall (114 Bullhead Road, Tsuut’ina, AB) on Friday, March 1, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Tsuut’ina Cemetery (Tsuut’ina Nation, AB). A Traditional Feast will be held Bullhead Community Hall immediately following the graveside.
