Condolences
My sincere and deepest condolences to Laurel (Charles), Todd(Mandy) and Tim. Percy was such a kind and generous soul to even a foreign student like me who was staying with Laurel. He taught me board games, and we had so much fun game nights. Percy was a grandfather to me, and he will be dearly missed.

From visiting as a small.child to seeing him later in life - and my husband sharing a hilarious bus ride from Vancouver to the Horse Shoe Bay ferry headed to Vancouver Island - he was just so real. No airs but embracing just what was! He had a deep faith and trust onGod and knew that Hod was ultimately in control. What a relief! He was gracious and true. His silence spoke volumes too. My mother adores him and he certainly was a comfort to her til hee end. His example was steady and he served in ways I likely dont know. I'm sorry he's gone but rejoice in his eternal bliss. Condolences to his family, God be with you all. Starla (niece)
Shirley: Our deepest sympathy in the passing of Percy. Percy was a man of faith, loved the Lord, loved his family and the church.
Percy will be missed, however cherish the memories and keep them close to your heart.
May the Lord give you strength, peace and comfort.
Keeping you and all the family in our prayers
Psalm 23
So sad to hear of Uncle Percy's passing. He will be remembered for his kindness and his unassuming profile--I do not remember him ever doing anything for attention--always ready to help and ready to serve.. What a great Christian example for the rest of us as we reflect on his life!! Percy glorified God in his life and now he has gone to enjoy Him forever.
Sympathy to his close family as I know they will miss him dearly.

My condolences Laurel on the passing of your dad. He was a kind and loving man.
Dear Shirley,
We extend our heartfelt sympathy to you and the family on the passing of our dear friend Percy. Annelise has been battling cancer for the last 2 months, and has been in hospital much of that time, and we feel for what you are going through. We send our love & prayers. Bob & Annelise
Uncle Percy was a gentle soul. His calmness - supported by a spirit determination - was appealing. He lived his life according to what he valued and never beyond his means. A true person. I like that. RIP. Condolences to the family. Nephew Mark Fuhrmann
I had the pleasure of getting to know Percy over the last 5 years at Sunnyside Christian Retreat Centre. Percy spent many summers during Camp times watching and encouraging the children attending camps. His big heart was for the deserving kids of a camp called Makaway. Thanks for your help, in making it possible for those in need to attend camp. We send our condolences to all the families affected by this loss. Thanks, Percy for all your help in making it possible for lives to be changed at Camp.
Although I had only met and talked with Percy a few times over the last 6 months I was impressed by his gentle and peaceful nature even in the face of his failing health. He was a man known to love his family and love his Lord. I am sorry i didn't get to share in some rousing games of 5 Crowns with him.
To his immediate and extensive family and relations, I pray God's peace that passes all understanding comfort you at this very difficult time. May you be assured Percy is resting in the loving arms of His Savior and Father God.
Much love,
Lori Reid
While I didn’t know Percy long, he would always stop by the puzzle table and we would have great conversations. He never helped with the puzzle but had great stories and had opinions on what was going on in the world. Shirley and family, may the Lord be with you in this time of sorrow.
Such a peaceful and pleasant person to have join our family 13 years ago. We have many wonderful memories to cherish of those years that we got to enjoy Papa Percy. He was an amazing champ at Five Crowns and constantly beat us. Seemed like he always had a card up his sleeve. We made him laugh and we made him blush, he was a great sport at everything we did. Worshipping at camp and visiting with friends there, watching the sunsets & fireworks, and having movie nights. We were so
Blessed by his presence. Rest in peace dearest Papa Percy. I’m happy you are home with Jesus with no more pain or suffering. It won’t be long and we’ll be there with you.
