Obituary of Sherry Lee Markham Taylor

September 27, 1963 – Winnipeg, Manitoba

February 27, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

Sherry Lee Markham Taylor (nee Markham), beloved wife of Shane Taylor, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at the age of 60 years.

Sherry was born in Winnipeg, MB, on September 27, 1963. She was a proud mother and enjoyed being around people, always seeing the good in them. She was a very loving and caring mother, who is deeply loved by all her family and friends. She is already deeply missed; the world is a darker place without her.

Sherry’s favorite saying was, “Nobody's perfect. Well, there was this one guy, but we killed him...”

She will be most remembered for her overwhelming warmth, love, and kindness.

Besides her loving husband Shane Taylor, Sherry is survived by her father Thomas Markham, brothers, Mike Markham, Tom R. Markham, Edward Markham, and Scott Cardinal; loving daughter Rachel, son Matthew, cousin Lori MacDonald, and best friends, Leslie Molnar and Sharon Lesway.

Sherry was predeceased by her son Cary Markham, mother Marriott Ann Markham, unnamed twin sister at birth, and beloved boyfriend Brad Van Aalst.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McInnis & Holloway Elboya Chapel (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Prairie Sky Cemetery.
