Obituary of Rommel de Guzman Dee

Rommel Dee, beloved husband of Analie Dee, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at the age of 53 years.

Rommel was born in Pangasinan on June 13, 1970, and immigrated to Canada in 2006. He graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy in Pangasinan with a degree in BS Marine Transportation. He started his career as a crew member on a cargo ship, before coming to Canada, where he became a welder, working for eighteen years at Phoenix Fence Corp. Rommel enjoyed playing guitar and singing. He always believed that “You cannot do anything just leave it to God and his will, will be done”.

Besides his loving wife, Analie, Rommel is survived by his son Gabriel, four brothers, Robert (Christy), Ronnie (Gloria), Ritchie (Elvie), Roger (Susan); and four sisters, Teresita (Virgilio), Luisa, Carmen (Irineo), and Virginia (Jeffrey), all of San Carlos Pangasinan, Philippines.

Rommel was predeceased by his parents, Pacita Dee and Antonio Dee, and brother-in-law Thomas.

Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at 6:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Parish Church (1414 Shawnessy Blvd SW, Calgary, AB) on Friday, March 22, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow at Asian Buffet restaurant (9125 Bonaventure Drive SE, Calgary, AB).
