Sunil Castelino beloved husband of Cynthia (nee Correa) and loving father of Clarissa, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024, at the age of 52 years.
Sunil was born in Mumbai, India on October 29, 1971, and married Cynthia on June 5, 2004. They moved to Canada two years ago and made Calgary, AB their home.
Sunil had a passion for the sport of cricket and participated in many tournaments in his younger days. He also loved cooking and trying out new recipes. He will always be remembered for his zest for life and happy-go-lucky attitude.
Besides his wife and daughter, Sunil is survived by his five older brothers, Jerry, Ivan, Vincent, Milton, and Kevin; his twin sister Sunita, his sisters-in-law, Cynthia, Dora, Bernie, Veena, Lavi, Manasi, and Susan; and his brothers-in-law, Godfrey, Anil, and Godwin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at St. Mark’s Catholic Church (5552 Madigan Drive N.E., Calgary, AB) on Friday, March 8, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mark’s Catholic Church (5552 Madigan Drive N.E., Calgary, AB) on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Airdrie Cemetery.
Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mr. Castelino’s service streamed live (see link below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted.
