Condolences
My heart goes out to Noi and the rest of Chet's family. Chet was one of the best neighbours I could have asked for, always ready to help out, go on an adventure, and kind and generous to a fault. He looked out for all his neighbours on Old Buffalo Trial and we always knew that Chet had our backs. I'll aways remember that twinkle in his eye and that laugh... Truly Chet was one of a kind, and I'm sad to hear of his loss.
I am one of Chet’s younger brothers and have prepared a few notes on Chet as he was not one to tell you much about what he had done in his life.
Chet grew up in rural Nova Scotia, one of eight children in the family of Gladys and Charlie Isenor. After high school Chet enlisted in the Canadian Army and served in the Engineering Corp as an electrician between 1960 and 1965. He served with the United Nations Peacekeeping tour in the Middle East in the 1960’s as well as in Bay Alert and Chilliwack in Canada. Upon discharge from the Army he worked in Alberta and earned his papers as an Electrician. He formed Chet’s Electric and with his first wife Carol they built their dream home on the Old Buffalo Trail outside of Cochrane where they lived with their horses until Carol passed away in 1995. Chet found love again with Noi and they married in 2004. Together they build their dream winter home in Thailand. Chet enjoyed his travels to Thailand until health issues prevented him from traveling overseas. While Chet did not suffer fools lightly he was always ready for a prank and a good laugh. He took his work very seriously and enjoyed his home(s) and horses.
I will miss you Chet….
Gerry
