Shirley & Iain Laurie
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs. Black. My heart and prayers go out to you Mr. Black, Brendan and Jamie and your entire family for your loss.
I just bumped into Mr. & Mrs. Black about a month ago and I'm so glad I did. I first met and became friends with Jamie and Brendan back in elementary school in the mid 70's. We grew up together in school and playing community sports. Mrs. Black always treated me like one of her own and she is one of the nicest and kindest people I have ever met and she always made you feel accepted and cared about everytime you talked with her. I will always remember one time hanging around the rink with Jamie when I was a kid watching our brothers play hockey, I had a cold. Mrs. Black gave me a role of Butterscotch Lifesavers and she told me this was the best for a sore throat and from that moment on growing up, everytime I had a sore throat Butterscotch Lifesavers is what I used and always worked. I am so honored to have known Mrs. Black as she and the Black family have been a positive influence in my life for so many years. Mrs. Black, you will be missed. Anyone who has ever met you is a better person for it and will always have a treasured memory of you.
Again Mr. Black, Brendan, Jamie and your entire family, I am so sorry for your loss. She was one of the best.
Your friend always,
Kevin Ferguson
