Obituary of Jessie Taenie Laslo

March 10, 2024 – Cochrane, Alberta
Jessie Laslo, cherished wife of the late John Laslo, and longtime resident of Cochrane, AB; peacefully passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at the age of 84 years.
Born in Clanwilliam, MB, on April 7, 1939, Jessie married John Laslo in 1960.
Throughout her life, she nurtured various passions. She found joy in watching "The Price is Right," engaging in bingo games, and indulging in the art of embroidery. Among her cherished memories was a memorable trip to Nashville, TN; and the song "Crystal Chandelier" by Charley Pride, never failed to bring a smile to her face.
Jessie is survived by her daughter Brenda, son-in-law Gilbert, sons, Johnny and David, as well as her grandchildren, Jennie Hansen, Ashley Matthews, and Benjamin Laslo. She also leaves behind one great-granddaughter, Olivia Matthews.
Preceding her in death were her husband John, granddaughter Rebecca Laslo, daughter-in-law, Cathy Laslo, and her siblings, Joe, Steve, and Andrew.
Jessie lived at Bethany Nursing Home in Cochrane, AB, where she received loving care from the dedicated staff. Special gratitude is extended to Marie-Linda Plante, whose devoted care brought comfort to Jessie over the years and was held dear to her heart.
Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle NW, Calgary, AB), on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queens Park Cemetery. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.
