Obituary of Monique Diane Hallam

August 15, 1982 – Salmon Arm, British Columbia

March 17, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

After bravely enduring over a decade of challenges with CIDP, cancer, and other health complications, we sadly bid farewell to our beloved daughter, Monique Hallam, on Sunday, March 17, 2024.

Monique spent the first six years of her life in beautiful Salmon Arm, BC. Afterward, she relocated to Calgary, then spent five memorable years residing in England with her family before permanently returning to Calgary in 1996.

Monique pursued her passion for healthcare, graduating as an LPN from Bow Valley College. She found fulfillment in her work until her health hindered her ability to continue. In addition to her dedication to nursing, Monique displayed remarkable athletic ability and showcased her talents as both an artist and a flute player. Throughout her life, she loved her cat companions.

She leaves behind her parents, mom Willy Beumer-Hallam and dad John Hallam, and the love of her life and best friend, Craig Grisbrook, alongside numerous family members and friends across England and Holland.

After suffering for so long, we take comfort in knowing that Monique is no longer in pain. In accordance with Monique's wishes, no formal service will be held, and a cremation has taken place.

If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to The Calgary Humane Society, 4455 – 110th Avenue S.E., Calgary, AB T2C 2T7, Telephone: (403) 205-4455, www.calgaryhumane.ca.

Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed with Monique’s family here.
