Condolences
I write this as a friend, a neighbor and a fan of Don Desmond Wright. I watched Don gracefully reach the age of 99., He remained cognitively fit, and active in the life of the Manor Village. Don liked a good hand of bridge, wrote tricky quiz questions for weekly Men’s Coffee and kept abreast of the world. Most compelling was his affectionate attachment to his family. A family breakfast at the Manor was a special event. A fishing outing with daughters was a game-changer (whether anything caught or not) to be carefully prepared for, enjoyed, cherished and talked about. Don will be missed by all who knew him. We have much to remember.

My happiest time working at BP was when I was Don's secretary for a while before I returned to the UK in 1971,.He actually appeared at the hospital as he was in the UK when I had my first daughter in 1972 but they would not let him in!! (she will be
52 on April 4th!!). We corresponded with every Christmas card and always exchanged "funnies" by e-mail. Don has sent David and I a calendar every single year for the past 50 years. His friendship will be badly missed.
Rest in peace Don.
Rita
