I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Grant. It feels like just yesterday we were working together as trainer and trainee at ATI Telecom in Vancouver, and over the years, our friendship grew into something truly special.

Grant was not just a colleague; he was a mentor, a leader, and most importantly, a dear friend. I will always remember his ability to think outside the box, his dedication to getting the job done, and the countless fun and happy memories we shared together. From our time as neighbors to the decision to move to Edmonton together, Grant was always there, guiding and supporting me.

The challenges brought on by Covid and the shift to remote work certainly took a toll on all of us, and I regret that our paths drifted apart during this time. Despite our busy lives, I always made a point to inquire about Grant whenever I spoke to mutual friends, as he held a special place in my heart.

My thoughts and prayers are with Grant's family during this difficult time. May they find comfort in the cherished memories and the impact Grant had on all of our lives. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit and legacy will live on in our hearts forever.

I had the pleasure of meeting Grant, who we affectionately refer to as Moose, back in 1993 and over the next 30 years we had the opportunity to embark on so many grand adventures. Grant was a man who had a love of all animals, which was always reciprocated by every dog or cat that I saw him engage with. He was mischievous and quick to laugh and he made me realize the joy that could be found in any given moment. His confidence and honesty were part of his many traits that I admired so much. As time passed, Grant became something more than just a friend, I considered him to be one of my brothers. His memory will live on forever inside of our hearts. My condolences to Grant’s family during this difficult time. Rest easy now Moose, we will carry on your legacy through the stories we tell and you will never be forgotten.

My condolences to Grants family. It is unbearable pain to loose a cherished child so young when his life is still on it’s journey. I have fond memories of Grant in the early days when camping with the Myers and my daughter Alexandra. Lots of fun but with its occasional climax. They both managed to get kicked out of the campground… pushing the limits but all in good fun. I hope that his family finds comfort in some good memories of him. So sad to leave the world so young. Grant was always one to enjoy a good time, but above that looked out for his friends. He cared about friendships and people above all else. It’s so rare to see someone want the best for their friends above even his own wellbeing. Grant always brought a positive vibe, genuine caring attitude and giving above even his own self interest. From skipping school in highschool to go skiing, or getting lost in Germany in Oktoberfest he was one of the most positive enjoyable people to be around. Grant was a special friend who wanted the best for everyone around him, I’m deeply saddened and want to ensure we all remember the kind, fun, selfless person who would drop everything to come help a friend. I will miss you, but never forget you buddy.
