Obituary of Nancy PLOURDE

May 5, 1931 - Montreal, Quebec   

October 8, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta 

Nancy Plourde, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at the age of 88 years.

Nancy was born in Montreal, QC on May 5, 1931. She married Ronald in April of 1956.  Nancy was a dedicated volunteer, back in the 1970s volunteering at St. Charles Elementary and Pierrefonds Comprehensive H.S. in the school library, and as volunteer President of the Pierrefonds 50’s Plus Club for over twenty-five years. She had a passion for writing poetry, with several hundred poems to her credit.

She will be most remembered for her love of her family, and fantastic sense of humor.

Nancy is survived by her three daughters and two sons-in-law, Ann, Marcella and Mark, Lisa and Craig; son and daughter-in-law, Martin and Ann; seven grandchildren, Joey, Maria, John, Kyle, Alicia, April, and Holley; five great-grandchildren, Simon, Lune, Liam, Jacob, and Lea. Nancy is also survived by her brother Doug and sister-in-law Claire; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Nancy was predeceased by her husband Ronald Plourde; and son-in-law Rick Toll.
