Obituary of Alvin (Al) George CLARK

Al died suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday, October 4, 2019 at the age of 80 years.  The loss of his keen intellect, generous spirit, quick sense of humor, and kindness will be felt by all that knew him. He was a good man who was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.

Beloved husband of Diane Williams Clark, Al leaves behind his son James (partner Deanna), and daughter Johanna (husband Marino “Moe”).  

Al’s professional career spanned over forty years in the oil and gas industry, working for Hudson’s Bay Oil & Gas, Dome Petroleum, Amoco, Saudi Aramco, and retiring as an independent consultant.  His hobbies included photography, woodworking, and outdoor pursuits. 

A Celebration of Al’s Life will be held at the Calgary Winter Club, (4611 14 St NW. Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. (access through the social/upper entrance, parking in the upper lot). If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Alberta Cancer Foundation (www.albertacancer.ca). Condolences may be forwarded through www.McInnisandHolloway.com. 

Al’s family would like to thank the ER staff of the Foothills Medical Centre whose care and compassion made the worst day more bearable.
