Obituary of Brent CARR

June 22, 1951 – Carman, Manitoba

October 10, 2019 – Calgary, Alberta

Brent beloved husband of Kathie Helen, passed away, surrounded by family and friends on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at the age of 68 years.

He was born to parents Cliff and Clare Carr on June 22, 1951 in Carman, Manitoba. His early years were spent on the family farm in Homewood, Manitoba. After the loss of his beloved mother, Brent headed west at the tender age of 16 years and made Calgary his home. It was in Calgary that Brent met the love of his life, Kathie Seigler. Brent and Kathie met on December 6th and were married 22 days later. They celebrated 45 years together this year. They had two children together, Brent Carr and Amie Carr-Romanchuk.

Brent worked in the road construction industry for many, many years in and around Calgary with a few years spent in Saskatoon. He was a dedicated hard working man for his entire life. He kept on top of all hockey and football games, the players, scores and standings. His favorite team of course, was the Calgary Flames.

He did enjoy a day on the golf course or at a fishing hole, as he loved being outdoors.  He was fond of the spring season, when he would shop around for the best tomato plants he could find, which he tended to each season, with great pride; you never left his home in the fall without a few ripe tomatoes in hand.

Brent was always in for a good cup of COFFEE, especially if he could visit with family, friends or co-workers. He could direct you to any Tim Horton’s in Calgary!

“Brent, you will always be in our hearts and remembered forever”

Brent loved and adored his family. He is survived by his wife Kathie; son, Brent; daughter, Amie and son-in-law Cory, all of Calgary. Brent also leaves behind his loving extended family; friends; and numerous co-workers.

There will be no formal service at this time. A Celebration of Brents’ Life will take place in the spring, his favorite season. Condolences may be forwarded through www.McInnisandHolloway.com.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of the ICU at the Foothills Hospital for their dedicated care and compassion shown to Brent and his family during his stay in the unit.
